For over 30 years, the Lehenbauer family has served the Billings and Laurel area’s landscape, nursery, irrigation and lawn care needs through their well respected local firm, Sylvan Nursery.Beginning in spring 2010, that heritage continues with the formation of a new company, Sylvan Landscaping, focused specifically on professional landscaping services for residential and commercial clients. The son of the founder of Sylvan Nursery, Steve Lehenbauer, and his wife Chris will drive this business. In 2013 Sylvan Landscaping changed their name to River Ridge Landscape Co. to reflect our new location in Laurel.

River Ridge Landscape Co. offers clients comprehensive landscape services including design, construction, maintenance, fertilization and pest control, irrigation, tree services and snow removal.

Horticulture runs deep in the family’s veins. Both Steve and Chris Lehenbauer are graduates of Montana State University’s horticulture program. Steve has worked in the business since he was a boy. He has served as the President of the Montana Nursery and Landscape Association and has been active in the local Home Builders Association for nearly a decade. He stays up to date on the latest trends and technology through participation in industry groups.

We see a real opportunity to provide customers with superior service by taking care of every aspect of their landscape needs. From day one, we will have experienced personnel, top-end equipment and the know-how to be able to execute on projects of all sizes. The same team that has worked with our maintenance customers for years will stay on in the new business, so we’ll ready to provide exceptional service and to grow with new customers.

Our past projects include many for the St Vincent Hospital campus, Cabela’s, Extreme make over house, Scheels all Sport, Billings Public Library, Billings district BLM building, McKinley Elementary School, Columbus Hospital, and the new First Interstate Bank Operations Center. We have also been the recipients of many landscape awards for our work on Fall Parade Homes.

River Ridge Landscape Company has won many awards from the Montana Nursery and landscape Association as well. We have won First place in the commercial landscape division for our work on Scheels all Sport in Billings as well as the Billings public library.

We have worked closely with some of the biggest firms in Billings and the nation such as Knife River, Sanderson Stewart Engineers, CMG Construction, The Neenan Company, ITSI, Q&D, Dick Anderson Construction, Jackson Contractor Group, and Marshall Erdman & Associates to name a few.

Our Lawn maintenance division prides itself in providing high quality services that others cannot match. We are not just another lawn maintenance company. Our goal is to provide maintenance for those customers that expect more form their maintenance company. We provide services to clients that demand high quality grounds maintenance such as Medical facilities and doctors.
